So..maybe sometimes I think I'm a bit funnier than I really am...

But, most of the time, I really am as funny as I think I am.

Bailey is being so extremely gracious to me and is babysitting me while my parents are out of town. It's basically like living the dream.

Last night, she was sitting there just waiting for a certain boy to text her. She was freaking out because she really wanted him to text her but she didn't want to text him first. Finally, I said, "Bailey! Text him! You have ten minutes and if he doesn't text you within ten minutes, you're texting him." No big deal right?! I mean, seriously..he had texted her first a bunch of times before this..so it wasn't a big deal. So, finally, I told her to just say, "Hey *insert name here*. How was your day?"

It took her over 9,000 to push the send button (yes, I did say over 9,000. What? I don't know!) . When she did, she freaked out! She sat there waiting for him to text her. Finally, a few minutes later, her phone beeps. We look at each other super intensely. The moment of truth!!! Turns out..it was our other friend, Whitney. Then, after another minute, I decided to freak her out again. I sent her a text message because I am just that funny! So, her phone beeps again.

She FREAKS out! Sooo excited! Finally, she looks at her phone...looks up...and yells, "I HATE YOU SO MUCHHHH!!!!!" I was laughing for about ten minutes straight..and that's not an exaggeration. She glared at me the whole time. She tweeted about 5 seconds after that. The tweet said something like, "NEVER BECOME FRIENDS WITH @beccakturner SHE KILLS HOPES AND DREAMS AND IS BASICALLY A DEMENTOR." That's just the jest of what she said.

Basically, I'm super super funny. I wish everybody appreciated me as much as I do.

Have a good evening, ladies and gentlemen!

CHA-CHING CHA-CHING CHA-CHING-A-LING

Guys. I have a best friend. Her name is Lauren. I love her dearly. July 2011 she moved away from me. It was the worst thing of my life. Thus began the hardest, worst year of my entire existence so far. I struggled with everything. When I say everything..I mean EVERYTHING. I cried myself to sleep probably half of the nights of that year. Honestly, it was the worst thing of my life.

Let's face it, I still struggle. But, I've learned so much from being alone. I hate it so much, but I've learned a lot. I've learned that it's not the worst thing in the world to go to a party alone or to a football game alone. I've learned that it's not so bad to have some alone times. I've learned that sometimes things sincerely suck, but I can still call Lauren or text her! Duhhh! We talk like..everyday. She tells me about her complicated love-triangle and I tell her about..orchestra...Haha. Just kidding. I tell her a lot more than that..about what, I will never say. ;)

Anyways, the point of this post was actually to tell you about her awesome, super cute blog. Go read it and follow it. She is sincerely a funny funny girl. I kid you not. She's the greatest!

Keep On Keepin On

In other news, if you ever get a chance to hear Yale's Whiffenpoofs, please take advantage of that opportunity. You will not regret it! Plus, look at how classy they are! I got to see them last night. Honestly, best thing ever. They are so great! And, so funny! I was laughing so hard at them! Soooo great! Plus, Aubrie's brother is a member of the Whiffenpoofs. Cool, right?!

Mmkay. Bye!

Ho hum.

I would like to dedicate this blog post to somebody very very very special to me. It happens to be her birthday. Today. October 20. It is the birthday of my sister's neighbor! Happy Birthdaaaayyyy!!

Oh wait...It's also my sister's birthday! Let's take a moment to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my big sister KAYCEE! She is the bomb. She is the bomb.com! She really is awesome.

Happy birthday to this spicy hot, super fresh girl!

She's a super rockstar!

Basically...I really love this girl. Like...a lot. And, not because she's family and I feel obligated. I just really love her as a human being. She's a funny girl! I always make fun of her, but it's because I love her. That's what family's for, right?! Wait..no it's not. Anyways...

While I'm on the topic of super nice people, I want to mention this:

Remember in my last blog post when I said that somebody should bring me chocolate?! Well, I was kidding. But, my dear dear friend Becca brought me chocolate. For real! How super sweet of her, right?! Just thought I'd share that with you..and publicly thank her!! Shout out, Becca! You rock!! :)

So, what I'm trying to say is HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Kaycee! And, THANK YOU, Becca!

Goodnight, friends! :)

Writer's Block? Maybe. Probably not, though. Probably just extremely tired.

I really REALLY want to write a blog post right now, but I can't think.at.all. This is not a joke. I'm so exhausted and I didn't realize it until a little while ago. I'm just sitting here...while my dad is playing the blues on his guitar..and I am zoning out like no other. So..sorry I stink at life and can't write a legitimate post right now. I'll make it up to you one day..maybe. But for now:

Now...somebody bring me chocolate, please? No? Okay..You're still cool.

Be kind to others! Loveeee!

Little Letters

Dear Sweaters, Thanks for always being there for me. Thanks for being the most wonderful, cozy things. I promise to wear you more now that fall is approaching.

Dear Mumford & Sons, You are rocking my world right now. Keep going. I'm listening to Below My Feet for the umpteenth time right now. Loves.

Dear Silly High School Girls, Let's stop pretending that we're in middle school. It's not as cute as you think it is. Let's grow up a bit.

Dear Sadies Date, I'm extremely excited for Sadies. We're literally gonna have a blast.

Dear Little Sister, Sorry I got mad at you on the way home from school today. I love you! But, you are coming with me to get my oil changed. I don't care what you say. Peace&Blessings.

Dear London, England,  I'm sorry that we've never met in real life. I promise, I will be there sometime! I promise. I promise.

Dear Government Teacher, Take a chill pill. You're not gonna BUST anybody's CHOPS anytime soon. You're not as tough as you try to make yourself look. Nice try, though. It's really entertaining.

Dear Once Upon a Time, I promise, I will get caught up soon. I'll be ready to start Season 2 before you know it! Don't worry!

LOVER OF THE LIGHT

  • It's lonely in our house since there's only my little sister and I left with our parents.
  • I'm currently listening to City and Colour. Obviously.
  • Mumford & Sons' new album has been on replay for the past week. My favorite song on it is Below My Feet. Honestly...it is too amazing to describe. Please listen to it.
  • I just watched The Best Two Years. That is the best movie.ever. Makes me laugh every time. *THANKS FOR BUYING IT FOR US, MOM!!

  • I just wanna stay home from school tomorrow and play my guitar and stay in sweats. But, I won't.
  • Today was a really good day. Some girls are pretty rude, though. I told my parents about this and my dad said that we should make a movie called Mean Girls! I told him that that was quite an original idea. Yeah...definitely.
  • Spotify is literally completing my life. THANKS FOR LETTING ME LISTEN TO MUMFORD & SONS AND ED SHEERAN AND SUCH!!!!
  • Some teachers choose favorites and then grade accordingly. The teachers that do this the most are English teachers. Why? Because when grading essays, they can kinda grade more by "opinion." Whatever.
  • I sincerely LOVE seminary. For the first year of my high school career..which is now sadly the last year of my high school career. I wish that I could've enjoyed it this much all four years. But, I am blessed to have a good teacher for at least one year! YAYYYY!

Did you hear the news?!?!

If you were listening to General Conference, you know what I'm talking about. You probably know what I'm talking about even if you didn't get the chance to listen to conference. You've probably heard it through the grapevine..and by that I mean from Twitter or Facebook or just a really nice friend that shared the news with you!

If you honestly don't know what I'm talking about, let me enlighten you!!

"Young women, who have not been eligible for full-time missionary service until age 21, may now begin their service at age 19."

They also lowered the age for the young men. But, that's not what I'm dying about. Basically....I'm so excited to go on a mission. I still have 2 years to wait, but this is so perfect. I've always wanted to go on a mission but when the age was 21, I wasn't completely positive that I would just because I didn't know what was gonna be going on in my life. Now that the age is 19, I'm basically for sure going. I can't even express to you my excitement.. :)

"I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it."
