Why don't I?

Instead of blog-stalking everybody else, why don't I write on my own blog?
Instead of writing on my blog, why don't I go read a good book or do my homework?
Instead of reading or doing homework, why don't I go watch Psych?
Instead of watching Psych, why don't I practice the song that I'm singing in church on sunday?
Instead of practicing that song, why don't I get a spiritual thought prepared for mutual tonight?
Instead of getting that thought prepared, why don't I go help my mom make dinner?
Instead of helping with dinner, why don't I just continue blog-stalking people?

SADIES!!!

Sadies was super duper fun! Look at this fun group of kids!!!! :)
Aren't we winners.

I must say...my date and I kinda rocked the jumping picture.

*(Notice the Yellowcard bracelet that he is wearing. He got that at the concert that we went to!)
We had quite a crazy schedule on the day of Sadies. I happened to have an orchestra concert that day which really peeved me off, a bit. So, anywho, in the morning, we made breakfast in a small group. it was not this massive group that you see here. That would be CHAOS in the kitchen!!!!
Then, our dates went home and we went to our orchestra dress rehearsal. After that, the boys met us in town for lunch and then they listened to our [horrible] orchestra concert. Then, four of us went to Barnes and Noble. I don't know why, but for me, that was honestly the funnest part of the day! It was fantastic! We were going to play card games, but we ended up just reading books. It was way fun. My wonderful date told me about how his favorite book as a child was Harold and the Purple Crayon. I told him that I had never read that book and he seemed very appalled! We went and found the book and he sat on the stool while I sat on the ground and he read Harold and the Purple Crayon to me! It was the best story time of my life! Superb!
After that, we went to our friend's house to meet up with the big group. We took these great pictures, ate dinner, and played curses. Then, we went to the actual dance. It was okay-ish, as school dances tend to be. After we got sick of the dance, we went to another friend's house to eat sundaes and watch I am Legend. I H.A.T.E scary movies but I was fine with watching this one. My date told me whenever a "scary" part was and I covered my face with a blanket. Every time I did that he pulled the blanket away and told me to watch. I was quite angry, but it actually wasn't too bad.
Overall, Sadies was an awesome experience and I think that it was definitely #1!!!

And it came to pass...

I could truly be dead right now. I've never had more of a 'near death experience' than I did tonight.
Story time: Today, I was driving with mi amiga, Erica. We were about to cross a very busy street. She entered the street and there was a truck coming right at that moment. In my head, I was thinking about how close the truck was but maybe Erica knew what she was doing. I mean, obviously, I'm not a good driver at all. I'd call my self a beginner, for sure. So, I wasn't going to say anything. When I thought about it more, I realized that if we kept going, this truck would definitely smash into us. I really didn't want to say anything but then something made me say, "Uhh....there's a truck right there." Erica slammed on the brakes and we missed the truck by a split second. If I hadn't said anything, both Erica and I would not be here right now. It was such a quick thinking process because all of this happened within about 5 or 10 seconds. Both of our hearts completely stopped, and then started to race faster than ever before. As we continued driving, we both almost started crying very hard, but somehow we managed to keep it together. It was the scariest moment of my life.

I know that it was the Holy Ghost who put the words into my mouth to tell Erica that the truck was coming. Obviously, Heavenly Father really is looking out for me. I still don't even feel like it was me who said those words but somehow I did. We hear stories all the time about how people listen to the Holy Ghost and act on it. I used to think about how maybe people just assumed that it was the spirit that told them what to do. I thought that maybe they just told everybody that that was who helped them. I guess that I never fully understood how people could discern whether they made decisions by themselves and it was coincidentally the right decision, or they actually felt the spirit prompt them to do something. In this case, I KNOW, with a certainty, that it was the Holy Ghost who told me to say that. If I hadn't listened, I would truly and honestly be dead.

Today has been a great learning day for me. We had a fantastic talk in sacrament meeting, a wonderful lesson in sunday school, and an awesome youth discussion. And then this happened and I learned so much from this experience.

Happy Sabbath, Friends.

Hmmm...

Do you ever feel inadequate? Or maybe insignificant?
I do.
Oh well. I guess that I'll just have to stop feeling that way! Cause, I know that I'm not.

By the way...this makes me so fetching happy! Yellowcard came out with an acoustic version of their last album, When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes. It is sooooooooo fantastic!
One song from that album is this--

Don't You Just Love Recitals? I Don't.

I really enjoy recitals. Especially when they are FOREVER long and I'm wearing the tightest hat I've ever worn in my life. Why was I wearing a hat? Because my violin teacher had the brilliant idea to dress up for our recital tonight. Fun, eh? Actually, it could've been more fun but I decided to wear a hat that was clearly to small for me! Oh, well. I made it through with only minor(actually..major) mistakes in my piece and the thoughts that I will never have to play that dang song again! *HOPEFULLY

Anywho, I'm feeling a bit stressed right now because of a few things. One of them being Chemistry.................and one of them being Sadies. Why? Sadies should not be a big deal, right? So, why is it? Oh well. I'll for sure make it through since I have a *mostly* fantastic group and a super awesome date! I'm actually pretty dang stoked that our shirts are yellow. I don't know why. But I'm in love with the idea of us both wearing yellow! Haha. :) This will be great fun!

PS) Guess what I'm listening to! Since you'll probably never guess....I'll show you! :) Listen to it and you'll never be the same! If you don't want to listen to the whole thing....do anyways. I really love the second guy's voice and the amazing key change right around the 3 minute mark. It will make you have goose-bumps!

 LOVE IT!!!

The Swingle Singers.............

.............are quite amazing (I didn't watch the whole music video...so if it's just weird...just listen, don't watch) and Peter Hollens is also quite amazing..........

...........put them together and you they are just SUPER DUPER FANTASTICALLY AMAZINGLY SUPERB! :)
(as you can see with A Poor Wayfaring Stranger)
PPS) It's pretty funny that I actually got on the computer to get a current event.....and now here I am! :D hehehehe

My Sincerest Apologies

Why am I apologizing? Well, of course, it is because I have not posted in quite some time. I have been rather absent and I am very sorry. Although, I do have some good excuses. Or, rather, ONE good excuse. That excuse is that my mom was in Pennsylvania for a little over a week and then my dad went up there to meet her there and then they went to New York. So, in other words....I was not allowed to use the internet during that time. It was two weeks! But, other than that...I've just been lazy.
Some rather exciting things have happened between my last post and now. But...I don't remember some of them. So, I will just write about one of them. I happened to go to my first rock concert last Thursday.

Exciting? YES! It was so fun! Ryan Key, the lead singer, said that he was trying to watch his mouth because he was in Utah. That definitely made my entire day! Especially considering the fact that I already love him a whole lot! Also, Sean Mackin, the violin player, has really cute dimples and he did a back flip! Wahoo! But, one of the best things that happened was when my feet were cemented to the floor......by gum! EWWW!!!! What an experience! The opening bands were quite good, too. Personally, I liked Every Avenue better than Go Radio, but they were both pretty dang good! It was quite an experience to remember! Anywho, that's all for now.

PS) I'm already getting really excited for Christmas. It's only October...is something wrong with me?

PPS) I think that Jane is a middle name that can go with ANY other name. Becca Jane, Bailey Jane, Lili Jane, Tyler Jane, Nathan Jane, Bobbie Jane, Robert Jane, Petunia Jane. I don't know...it just rolls off the tongue! I quite like it!

"Mind the pedestrians, Richard"

Today has been a good day.
                  I love my friends.
     I love laughing.
I'm texting a few of my besties right now and it makes me laugh.
I'm listening to Yellowcard right now and I really like them.......
I suppose that that's all for now.
PS) What does the title have to do with this post? I have no clue...but it's from a funny British television show and I had a good experience today that had to do with pedestrians.
PPS) Who uses the word "television"? I guess that I just did.

I am quite in like with this! Actually...I guess that it's safe to say that I'm actually in L.O.V.E with it! :)

I absolutely love the Mormon messages. My #1 favorite is this one...

...but one of my current favorites is this one

Is that not just one of the cutest things

you've ever seen?!?! I just love it!

HAPPY SABBATH, FRIENDS! :)

Laugh...It's Good For the Soul!

Today was quite a day. There were good times...and there were okay times. But right now, I'm mainly remembering the good times (which is a good thing, I'd say).

  • A friend of mine told me that pickles rhymes with potassium. I'm not exactly sure if I should believe that...but it was funny and I laughed right out loud!
  • I don't know why this made me happy...but I practiced my violin and then did my homework.
  • Mutual was a blast/super funny! Our bishop and his wife did a demonstration of what NOT to do on a date and we were all laughing hysterically!
  • I became friends with an old friend....that makes no sense. Explanation: I wasn't sure if we were still friends, so I asked him if we were. And he said yes!
Anywho, it is past my bedtime...so goodnight!!!

My time has come...for pinterest!! Yay!

I finally got a pinterest! Once upon a time somebody told me that people can literally get addicted to pinterest. Did I believe it? Well, no...not really. So I decided to go check out what it was really about. I went to the website and started to look at different peoples' pages. I was thinking, "People really get addicted to this?" After a while, I realized how long I had actually been on there....I think that I was already addicted. It is SOOO cool! I don't know why, but it strangely amazing. My page is right here. I haven't gotten very far into making it yet, but I quite enjoy it! Yay, for pinterest!

PS) What's up with Pre-Calculus?...that's all I have to say. :/

First Day of School..........

TODAY WAS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!! This is DEFINITELY not something to be celebrating! Those exclamation points there^^are angry ones...not happy ones! UGH! Not only was it the first day of my stinkin Junior year...but I also got homework! BUT...this isn't all bad! Now, I get to see my friends everyday again! And, I have a lot of classes with my friends! It is great fun! I like my smaller classes and my bigger classes. I also like this weird "mod" schedule...well, so far. I mean, it was only the first day of school, but still! I think I might like it!

Note to Self: Keep a good attitude this year...in everything! Seminary especially! :)

Family barbeque? Why not?! School starting tomorrow? WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I'm pretty sure that I'm allergic to school. And, no, I'm not just saying that as if I am any other teenager who really doesn't like school. I honestly think that I am allergic to school. Last year, right before school started, I got really sick. I had to miss a lot of school and I got way behind. I got so far behind that I had to drop one of my classes. Sad, right? Well, once again...school is about to start...and, guess what?! I'm sick!!!! And...I'm not happy about it! I'm actually quite mad!
BUT....Let's talk about the first part of this title! We had a family barbeque today and it was super fun! We invited the Whitneys (one of my favorite families), Virgil and Joan Johnson (also, some of my favorite people!), and the Hansons(my second family..and one of my favorites)!! We had a lot of fun and it was a great way to end the summer!
PS) Julian Smith is one of my HEROES! And, he has a new video that definitely makes me laugh! Here it is! :)

Birthing a blog!? Hmmm...

Well, here is my first official blog post! Yay!!! I finally...(how should I say this?)...gave birth to my blog. This was only made possible by my wonderful friend BAILEY!! So, what shall I be putting on this blog? Well, that is a wonderful question. How about anything&everything! :)
PS) Birthing is a weird word when you see it typed out. Wouldn't ya say?! Hmmm.....curious!
